Super Star Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru created a lot of buzz on social media. The film unleashed a new Mahesh Babu as he has seen with a renovated energy in a different role after a very long time. The veteran actress Vijay Shanthi made a long come-back with this film.
If reports are to be believed, Vijay Shanthi paid double than Rashmika for her appearance in the film. It is heard that after negotiating her price for many weeks, Vijay Shanthi had agreed to be a part of the project. As per the reports, initially, Vijay Shanthi is believed to have demand Rs 5 Cr as her remuneration because she is making a re-entry into movies after 13 years.
We have come to know now that the actress gave the go-ahead after getting her fee of Rs 4 crore! A source revealed that, “Actually, she demanded Rs 5 crore since she realized the importance of the role and how her presence would make a difference to the film. After various rounds of negotiations, producer Anil Sunkara agreed to pay Rs 4 crore. With director Anil Ravipudi insisting on casting her, producer loosened his purse strings to pay her the hefty sum. Mahesh Babu also felt that she would be the right choice to carry the role of an upright professor and that helped her to fatten her bank balance.”
It is learned that realizing other producers can’t afford her remuneration, Vijay Shanthi has resolved to take a break from acting and probably would wait for another plum offer to appear on the silver screen. However, it is yet to be known the actual reason behind Vijay Shanthi’s break to films.
