After an appreciable effort from the Andhra Pradesh government, a fresh controversy arose when the Jagan’s government announced that they will play the same price that Chattisgarh pays for the Rapid testing kits.
If the issue was not exposed by the media what would have happened with the 1 lakh rapid testing kits that are imported from South Korea?
First of all, everyone is quizzed about the role of Sandur Medicaids as a mediator and there are doubts about the way they got involved in this deal.
Though the AP government said that they have made a deal with South Korea directly, the actual fact is that the Sandur Medicaids, based in Hyderabad sold the rapid testing to the AP government.
On the other side, the Chattisgarh government invited open tenders under which the South Korean based, SD Bio Sensor made a deal with their government to sell the rapid testing kist Rs.337 per sample. The same SD Bio Sensor products were purchased by the AP government via Sandur Mediacids for a different rate initially.
None of the details were revealed about the involvement of Sandur Medicaids in this contract and everything was confidential without open tenders and the G.O. So, the opposition is questioning the transparency of the YSRCP government in the issue.
