Yet another match and yet another match-winning inning by AB de Villiers (55*). His blistering 55 runs have helped Royal Challengers Bangalore to pull off a thrilling victory against Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets. Along with de Villiers, Devdutt Padikkal (35), Virat Kohli (43) and Chris Morris (4/26) played well for RCB. Steve Smith (57) and Robin Uthappa (41) have shined in RR’s innings.
Steve Smith won the toss and said that Rajasthan will bat first. Again, RR came up with a new combination and they got it right this time. Robin Uthappa and Ben Stokes opened the innings and gave a blistering start to their team. They made a 50-run partnership and finally, Stokes got dismissed in the sixth over. Within a couple of overs, Chahal dismissed the dangerous-looking Uthappa as well. The very next ball, he also got the wicket of Sanju Samson. Then, Steve Smith and Jos Buttler settled the game for Rajasthan. They made a 58-run stand and when both of them were trying to flex their arms, Chris Morris dismissed them. In the end, Rajasthan managed to end 20 overs with a score of 177/6.
Royal Challengers Bangalore lost the wicket of Aaron Finch pretty early into the game. Then, Devdutt Padikkal and Virat Kohli took care of the game and built a partnership of 79 runs. Then, RR got a big break in the bowling of Rahul Tewatia who got the wicket of Padikkal. In the very next over, he took a blinder to dismiss Virat Kohli as well. Then, the whole responsibility fell on the shoulders of AB de Villiers. As usual, he has done it for his team. His 22-ball 55 runs helped RCB to score 179 in 19.4 overs.
