It is known news that the remainder of Indian Premier League 2021 is all set to take place in the UAE from next month. The 14th edition of IPL will resume from September 19 in the UAE.
Ahead of the resumption of the tournament, Royal Challengers Bangalore on Saturday announced that their head coach Simon Katich has stepped down due to personal reasons.
Director of Cricket Mike Henson will double as the head coach until the end of the IPL 2021 season. The team will also miss the services of Finn Allen, Kane Richardson, Daniel Sams and Scott Kuggeleijn in the second leg.
RCB have also announced three replacements for IPL 2021 Phase 2. Sri Lanka’s star spinner Wanindu Hasaranga, Sri Lanka’s Dushmantha Chameera and New Zealand’s Tim David will be part of the team.
The Virat Kohli lead team was in a firm position, having won 7 out of their first 10 matches in the IPL 2021 season. It was at the 3rd spot on the 8-team points table.
