The distribution of ration goods under the Public Distribution System is going on sluggishly in the state. Due to panchayat elections, the ration goods distribution has been halted in the state and now again due to the municipal elections.
The ration vehicles have to supply ration goods to around 30 to 40 cards per day. Even though the poor haven’t received the ration goods till now.
Of the 1.45 crore cards in the state, the ration goods were delivered only to 52 lakh cards so far.
The distribution of ration in areas where elections are being held is still being delayed. In addition, there is a delay in it due to the server problem and other technical issues.
