The press meet of the upcoming Netflix series, Rana Naidu, featuring Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh Daggubati in the lead roles, has taken place in Hyderabad today. The series is set to begin streaming on Netflix on March 10th and is directed by Suparn Verma and Karan Anshuman. The series marks the OTT debut of Rana and Venkatesh as well, and their first-time collaboration. Rana Naidu is the Indian remake of the Hollywood series Ray Donavan.
At the press meet, Rana and Venkatesh were asked a lot of questions, along with the directors. The main question to Venky has been about the way he’s been showcased in the series. In a complete departure from his usual family image, Venky has been seen in an out-and-out rugged and massy manner in the trailer for Rana Naidu. Talking about the same, he said that the audiences have to see him as Venkatesh, the actor, who has experimented with a new kind of role. He also said that playing the role of Naga Naidu in the series has been a very fulfilling experience for him as an actor, as it had given him the opportunity to do something new.
Talking about the series, Rana said that Rana Naidu is going to be new tot he audiences, and said that he hopes the audience is going to like the kind of dynamic shown between him and his father. He said that the series is going to be very intense and the family dynamics and the overall story of Rana Naidu is going to be interesting. Rana also said that the main reason for him and his uncle to collaborate for this series was becuase it offered them a lot of scope.
