Media baron Ramoji Rao has announced to quit as the Chief Editor of Eenadu Daily and would continue hereafter as the Founder and Chairman of Eenadu Group.
Eenadu along with few other channels like ABN and TV5 are being considered as the secret support of TDP. As YSRCP rose to power in Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is making sure that he suppresses all these three channels to his best. For instance, he denied to give the footage of ongoing assembly meetings to these three channels.
At this point of time, the senior journalist felt that it would be tough for him to run the channel. Anticipating that the state government may also dig out his earlier cases and target him from all sides, he stepped out as editor and picked M Nageswara Rao for AP edition and DN Prasad for Telangana edition.

Even though Jagan’s media Sakshi was provided Assembly footage in TDP’s regime, the YSRCP government now acting strictly against the alleged TDP media- ABN, Eenadu and TV5 is shocking many. It would be better if Jagan rethink on the issue, otherwise suppressing media may turn out to be distasteful to the government in its long run.
