Just before the release of Saaho, sensational director Ram Gopal Varma involved Prabhas in a caste controversy. Releasing a song titled “Caste Feeling” from his upcoming film “Kamma Rajyamlo Kadapa Reddlu”, RGV said that he loves Prabhas as both belong to the same caste.
Though RGV is known for his satirical comments and people stopped taking him seriously from a certain point of time, it seems, the caste feeling issue that he raised, has shown a negative impact on Saaho.
Especially in the districts of East and West Godavaris, the impact was found to be huge. Though the things of this sort, may not stop the audiences from walking to the theaters on the opening day, it is after the first talk was out, the negative impact has been witnessed in many centers.
The netizens, who were against Prabhas and his caste, jumped into action to spread the negative talk. They targeted the fans of both the Godavari districts and jolted them big time with thousands of trolls through the social media. As the movie result is disappointing, the argument of Prabhas fans from the Godavari districts, did not find any strength.
Finally, RGV bagged the credit of igniting enmity by bringing in caste, while Prabhas never really involved in any such controversies till date.
