In Andhra Pradesh, there’s a lot of heat around politics is going on currently. Several films are being made about the state’s political situation and one such film is “Rajadhani Files,” which tackles the Amaravathi Capital Issue.
YCP leader Lella Appireddy filed a petition to halt the film’s release citing the reasons that it is showing the YCP government in bad light. The court initially halted it, but later gave the green light again today.
Yesterday, screenings were interrupted in many places, but now the AP High Court has allowed the film to be shown across the state. The movie focuses on the five-year struggle of rural farmers against the government’s proposal for three capitals, especially concerning Amaravati.
The filmmakers argue that they’ve already addressed concerns raised by the Censor Board and the final decision is now in their favor.
