It is known news that Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra has been arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch for producing and distributing pornographic content through various digital platforms.
Mr Kundra was produced before the court on Tuesday and remanded in custody till July 23. The latest development in the case is that Kundra paid a bribe of Rs 25 lakh to Crime Branch sleuths to avoid getting arrested in the case.
According to a report, Yash Thakur, who is an absconding accused, had emailed a complaint to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in March, alleging that the accused paid Rs 25 lakh to the investigating officers to escape from going behind the bars.
The report further said the Anti-Corruption Bureau had reportedly forwarded the complaint to the Mumbai police chief’s office in April, and the officers have declined to speak on the same.
