As we all know Music director Raghu Kunche recently shared the first look poster of ‘Nalini Katha’ on social media, where he plays the character of Murugan being one of the seven accused behind former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi’s assasination in 1991.
Like the vast majority, Raghu also conceived Murugan as the key part of the LTTE suicide bomber squad crew that caused death of India’s most adored pioneers. Be that as it may, his depiction of Murugan in Nalini Katha, will compel individuals to think about the unseen side of the man apart from the speculated news reports state about him, expresses Raghu.
“I became intrigued by Murugan’s character. He is undoubtedly with criminal instinct, but has a romantic side to him too. Murugan is supposed to be the main provocateur in empowering Nalini to complete the evil act. Murugan loved Nalini wholeheartedly while on the flip side, he manipulated her into committing a gruesome crime. However, he has been a great husband of her inspite of spending 28 years in prison. This dichotomy in the character is what I felt interesting to play”, says Raghu Kunche.
National award winning Director Mahendra Kokkirigadda states, Nalini Katha will depict the unheard story of Nalini Sriharan, one of the accused who assassinated Rajiv Gandhi on June 14, 1991. The narrative includes how Murugan hatched a conspiracy plan to emotionally trap Nalini to be part of Rajiv Gandhi’s assasination.
