As the Covid second wave curve is flattening, Tollywood is slowly but steadily getting back on track. Film shootings are expected to resume in July and theatrical releases are likely to commence soon after the state governments permit re-opening of cinema halls.
Interestingly, the makers of A-lister projects are now finalizing the optimal release dates for their respective films.
It is said that the makers of Prabhas’s Radhe Shyam and Chiranjeevi’s Acharya are planning to release these films this Dasara. They are hoping that theatrical business will be rejuvenated by then and cine-goers will be willing to step out to watch new releases in theatres. The final call on the release date will be taken after assessing the conditions at that point in time.
Also, the makers of Nani’s Tuck Jagadish, Naga Chaitanya’s Love Story, Akhil’s Most Eligible Bachelor, and other medium-budget projects are eyeing September release.
