The arrest of former ACB DG and Intelligence Chief PSR Anjaneyulu has sent a strong message that the coalition government in Andhra Pradesh is holding accountable those who believed they were above the law during the YSRCP regime. CID officials arrested Anjaneyulu in connection with a serious harassment case filed by Mumbai-based actress Kadambari Jethwani.
Reacting to the arrest, TDP MLA Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar stated that it stands as a clear example that no one is beyond the reach of the law. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the Ponnur MLA remarked, “PSR Anjaneyulu acted not as a public servant, but as ‘YSR Anjaneyulu’, misusing his power with arrogance and vengeance.”
He alleged that the IPS officer systematically targeted TDP leaders, dissenters, and even women by filing false and fabricated cases. Calling Anjaneyulu “the cause of tears for many women,” the MLA also held him responsible for derailing the future of thousands of youth, referencing the APPSC paper leak scandal. “His illegal actions and blatant abuse of power have brought disrepute to the entire police system. This arrest serves as a reminder that no officer who crosses the boundaries of the law can escape accountability,” Dhulipalla emphasized.
