Tollywood’s production strategy is changing. Earlier, big budget films dominated the industry, but now mid range films are gaining more importance. Producers have realized that instead of investing heavily in a single big-budget movie, making two or three mid budget films ensures better profits with lower risks.
Sithara Entertainments has successfully followed this model with films like Mad, Tillu Square, Sir, and Lucky Bhaskar. These movies have earned well, making Sithara a top production house.
Similarly, producer Dil Raju faced losses with Game Changer, but recovered with Sankranthiki Vastunnam, proving that mid budget films can be safer and more profitable.
Now, other major producers like DVV Danayya and BVSN Prasad are also focusing on mid budget films. With this trend, more opportunities are opening up for Tier 2 heroes. As a result, Tollywood is likely to see a good increase in mid range films in the coming years.
