Prime Video has unveiled the gripping trailer of its upcoming Telugu original movie Cheekatilo, creating strong buzz among thriller lovers. Set against the fast-changing urban landscape of Hyderabad, the film promises an intense crime suspense drama that blends mystery, emotion, and social commentary. Cheekatilo is directed by Sharan Kopishetty and produced by veteran producer D. Suresh Babu under the Suresh Productions Pvt Ltd banner. The screenplay has been jointly written by Chandra Pemmaraju and Sharan Kopishetty.
The story revolves around Sandhya, a criminology graduate and true crime podcaster, played by Sobhita Dhulipala. Through her popular podcast, Sandhya stumbles upon disturbing clues linked to a serial killer whose crimes date back nearly two decades. What begins as an investigation soon turns into a dangerous game as a shocking murder exposes buried secrets and unanswered questions. Using her voice and platform as weapons, Sandhya attempts to provoke the killer into revealing himself, pushing the narrative into a tense and unpredictable pursuit of truth.
