It is known that Sandalwood actresses Sanjana and Ragini were arrested by Bengaluru police last year in connection with the drug case. They are out on bail after serving a few months in prison.
In last September, popular television anchor and actor Anushree was also questioned by the officials in connection with a drugs case involving dancer-choreographer Kishore Aman Shetty.
Now, the Sandalwood drugs case has come to the fore once again. As per reports, Anushree’s name appeared in the FIR registered by the Bangalore Police. Choreographers Kishore and Tarun have given a statement that the actress, who has faced trial in the past, is not only taking drugs but also supplying them.
Kishore and Tarun have already been arrested in the case. In 2017, the police conducted an investigation based on their statement. The case is being registered, and an investigation is underway as evidence is found.
Meanwhile, CCB police in Mangalore have said that it is not possible to establish Anushree’s guilt based on the statement of the accused. They dropped her name from the drug case as also from the list of accused.
