Tamil actor Ponnambalam, who is also famous in Telugu, having been seen in several negative roles in movies like Gharana Mogudu, Allari Priyudu, Mechanic Alludu and others, recently spoke about his health issues. The actor recently underwent a kidney operation in Tamil Nadu, and he spoke to the media regarding the same.
Ponnambalam said that it’s not just because of alcohol that he lost his kidneys. He said that his kidneys got seriously affected because his family members tried to kill him. Ponnambalam’s father had four wives, and the actor treated the brother he has from his father’s third wife as his own. He was Ponnambalam’s manager as well.
Ponnambalam said that his brother had been injecting poison into his food and drinks for the money that the actor earned. He said that his brother even resorted to black magic on him, following which he lost his kidneys. The actor said that he found out that there was poison in his food through the doctors.
Ponnambalam said that he was worried and felt lost when the doctors told him that his kidneys would have to be replaced. He didn’t know whom to ask for help, and said that Megastar Chiranjeevi was the first person that came to his mind. He said he had immediately called Chiru and asked for help.
Ponnambalam said that Chiru promised to help him out, and he had thought that he would give him 1 or 2 lakhs. The actor said he was surprised when Chiru asked him to get admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai. The Tamil actor also said that Chiru paid Rs. 40 Lakhs to the hospital, the full expense of his treatment, and he didn’t pay a single money out of his pocket.
Ponnambalam said that he would never be able to forget the help that Chiru did for him, and he’ll always be indebted.
