YSRCP government in Andhra Pradesh had to face a jolt from the High Court, which ordered to stop the retendering for the Polavaram project.
Unwilling to share the credit of the Polavaram project with TDP, the state government had alleged that the previous government had resorted to severe corruption in Polavaram. Showing it as the reason, it has ordered for the retendering, in spite of the numerous warnings from the Centre, asking the state government not to attempt it.
Keeping away Navayuga from the project, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had been trying to bring in new company to perform the project work. But the High Court strictly ordered to stop all such retendering activities.
Polavaram being a national project, the works of it have been performed under the Polavaram Project Authority. If there is any such corruption involved as alleged by the YSRCP government, the Centre would have taken care of it.
But the state government is only intending to mudsling on the previous government. But with the High Court ordering the Jagan’s government not to attempt any such activities, it can be considered as a mega jolt to the young CM. On the other side, high court’s judgement is being termed as an another victory of TDP, as it severely opposed the retendering for Polavaram project.
