The sudden demise of Popular actor Vivek has left fans and the film fraternity shocked. The versatile actor passed away on Saturday after suffering a cardiac arrest. He is survived by his wife and two daughters. It is worth mentioning that his son died a few years ago after suffering from dengue.
Now, Celebrities across the country took to various social media platforms to express their condolences over Vivek’s demise.
Taking to Twitter, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid his last respects to Vivek. In his post, Modi wrote, “The untimely demise of noted actor Vivek has left many saddened. His comic timing and intelligent dialogues entertained people. Both in his films and his life, his concern for the environment and society shone through. Condolences to his family, friends and admirers. Om Shanti (sic).”
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami issued a statement saying Vivek’s demise is a tremendous loss to the Tamil film fraternity.
DMK Chief and Leader of the Opposition Stalin wrote that Vivek’s sudden demise came as an immense shock to him.
Superstar Rajinikanth offered his condolences on the demise of actor Vivek. In his tweet, Rajini said his close friend’s demise has caused him a lot of pain. “I can never forget the time I shared with him during the making of the 2007 film Sivaji.”
Kamal Haasan called the death of actor Vivek a great loss for the Tamil community. He wrote on Twitter, “Friend Vivek always worked for the betterment of the community as a disciple of Kalam, and guardian of the trees. His demise is a significant loss to the Tamil community.”
Along with them, several top celebrities such as AR Rahman, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Mohan Raja and Gautham Karthik among others expressed their condolences to the actor. Meanwhile, many fans of Vivek gathered outside his residence in Chennai to pay their tributes.
