Prime Minister Narendra Modi has fulfilled his promise of having ice cream with badminton star PV Sindhu. Back in July, when Modi had an online interactive session with many Tokyo-bound Indian athletes, he promised that he will have ice cream with Sindhu once she comes back from the Olympics.
As promised, the PM fulfilled that promise and had ice cream with the two-time Olympic medallist.
On Monday, the PM hosted the Indian athletes at his residence. He appreciated all the Indian athletes for giving their at the Olympics and had a personal meet and greet session with them.
It is worth mentioning that PV Sindhu is only the second Indian athlete and the first woman from India to get two individual medals at the Olympics. Apart from that, she is only the fourth woman badminton player to win back-to-back singles Olympic medals. She also has five World Championships decorations to her name.
