Prime Minister Narendra Modi had been consistently addressing the countrymen through his monthly radio program ’Mann Ki Baat’s 66th edition. This is the fourth address by PM Modi amid the epidemic of corona virus in the country. During this, PM Modi said that India had been facing challenges and problems with its neighbors amid the corona virus epidemic. With this, PM once again appealed to the people to follow social distancing and wear masks.
”This year, the country will achieve new goals, fly new, touch new heights. I have full faith in the power of 130 crore countrymen. For hundreds of years, different invaders attacked India, people believed that the structure of India would be destroyed, but India became even more powerful and bounced back due to these crises”, PM Modi said.
Speaking about the Galwan Valley battle, in which 20 Indian soldiers were martyred, PM Modi said: “The world has seen India’s commitment to protecting its borders & sovereignty. A befitting reply by boycotting China products has been given to those encroaching our territories.”
After lockdown, PM said that reforms have happened in space sector that would bring amazing advancements in space technology. He addressed about agricultural sectors and how farmers have struggled too.
“We should get rid of online games and bring glory to India by encouraging online education.We should present and honour Indian traditional games in more intriguing way. We also should remember that our games are also local. We already have been following the motto ”Be vocal for local”, he said.
Modi also recounted about a story in Arunachal Pradesh, where villagers constructed 14 huts for people returning back from cities to allow self quarantine. He emphasised about their collective efforts in fighting off corona. He appreciated UP migrant people who started working to restore Kalyani river.
“I appeal to all children. Would you accept?. Pick up a mobile an interview your grand mother grand father and ask how was their childhood, how they spent vacations, the games they played etc. This would fill them with joy and also would be allowing yourself to learn may great things. Autobiography speaks the truth. It is a great opportunity for the children to seek old treasure like knowledge”, Modi said.
Prime minister addressed about a great campaign In Vadodara set up by district administration and locals. In 1000 schools, 10 crore liters of water is being saved as part of water harvesting. He encouraged every citizen to bring such great initiatives. PM said in this monsoon season, let’s take an oath to promote eco friendly Ganesha, which we worship in Ganapathi festival.
PM Modi also commemorated late PM PV Narasimha Rao birth anniversary today and his priceless contribution to the country.
