South siren Samantha Ruth Prabhu is set to greet the audience in theatres with her upcoming film, ‘Shaakuntalam’. Directed by Gunasekhar, the movie will be released on April 14, in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.

Ahead of the release, the team has now begun the promotional activities by taking the blessings from Peddamma Temple in Hyderabad. The lead pair is seen donning white attires as they enter the temple with the entire team. In the pictures, we can see Sam keeping her look basic with half braid hairstyle, earrings, and simple makeup.

Based on a popular Indian play Shakuntala by Kalidasa, Shaakuntalam also features Aditi Balan, Mohan Babu, Allu Arha and Sachin Khedekar, among others in key roles. Mani Sharma has composed the music for the flick that is jointly bankrolled by Gunaa Teamworks and Sri Venkateswara Creations.
