Petrol and diesel prices have been constantly rising. It was raised for the seventh consecutive day in a row on Monday following the crude oil rates worldwide. Experts observed an upwardly curve on the pricing charts as fuel prices in the city raised for the sixth day on Sunday.
The oil marketing companies hiked the petrol prices by 30 paise and diesel by 34 paise per litre on Sunday. A litre of petrol was available at Rs.92.26 while a litre of diesel reached Rs.86.23 from Rs 80.60 per litre. The prices began increasing steadily since last month that has upped by 5.23/litre for petrol wherein 5.63/litre for diesel.
The fuel rates mentioned below are due at 6 am and are bound to alter anytime as per the petroleum companies.
Going by the prices, the petrol prices in Hyderabad slightly increased to Rs. 92.53 with 27 paise hike and diesel at Rs. 86.55 with a hike of 31 paise. The petrol rates in Delhi are now at Rs. 88.99 with 26 paise hike and diesel price at Rs. 79.35 with a hike of 29 paise.
As per petroleum dealers, fuel prices were turning pricey in proportion with prices of crude oil that have been conspicuously showing an upward trend. Dealers in Hyderabad believe that the prices may reach Rs. 100/litre.
“Petrol and diesel prices have already touched all-time high due to international crude prices increase along with high Central and State taxes and a further surge in the pricing cannot be ruled out,” local dealers asserted.
