Ramagundam Task Force police have arrested Peddapalli Zilla Parishad (ZP) chairperson Putta Madhu at Bhimavaram in West Godavari district today. However, police did not reveal in which case he was arrested. The police are shifting him to Hyderabad.
Putta Madhu went missing after the media interaction with former minister Etela Rajender on April 30. As per reports, Madhu is a close aide of Etela.
Since then, the police have searched for him. He was eventually found in Bhimavaram and taken into custody. Police traced the whereabouts of Madhu based on the phone signal. Police had earlier questioned Putta Madhu in the murder case of the advocate Vaman Rao couple.
It is known that Vaman Rao and his wife were brutally murdered on a road in broad daylight. There has been a rumour in the past that Putta Madhu is connected with this incident.
