Floods are washing the Godavari river this year, threatening crops and life forms. There have been warnings at three places, and neither of these warnings are to be taken lightly.
A lot of damage has already been done to small islands that surround the river, and warnings have been given to several other areas. A second level warning has been given at Dowleswaram Barrage, and a third level warning has been given at Bhadrachalam.
Pawan Kalyan has requested the YSRCP government and Chief Minister Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy to immediately start rescuing the people that have been affected because of these floods. Pawan said that speed boats and launchers are to be started off immediately by the concerned authorities to get back marooned villagers, and to also rescue islanders who would be affected the most because of the increasing concern of the flood.
Pawan has also said that greater safety measures are to be taken for islanders because their entire livelihood would be lost when the flood hits, and that there would be no way they would leave their property behind. He said that the government needs to act quickly, and act immediately to make sure that severe damage is not done to anymore villagers or people who live on islands.
The Jana Sena Chief also requested the Chief Minister to announce compensation for each of the victims and their families as that is the only way they can recuperate in the future. He also said that the government should make sure that the situation of Coronavirus is kept in mind while doing all of this, and that proper social distancing measures should be taken to avoid making the situation any worse.
Pawan has been trying to make sure that the people of Andhra Pradesh are safe and that their necessities are met with, ever since he stepped into politics. He has appreciated and criticised politicians for the steps they have taken, with respect to the people of Andhra Pradesh.
Recently, Pawan’s views were taken into consideration while drafting the new National Education Policy. Taking Pawan’s vision into consideration, it would be better if the government implemented the measures that Pawan has requested, so that great damage is not done to the state.
