In a moving gesture that has drawn attention across Andhra Pradesh, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has extended personal support to two orphaned children from Pithapuram constituency who recently lost both their parents. The children, natives of Madhavapuram village in Pithapuram mandal, lost their father two years ago and their mother only recently, leaving them without family support or a permanent home.
The siblings reached out for help through a video message on social media, describing their hardships and uncertain future. The appeal reportedly caught Pawan Kalyan’s attention, prompting an immediate response. He directed officials from his office to provide monthly financial assistance of ₹5,000 to each child from his own salary, ensuring a steady support system for their basic needs.
Along with financial help, the Deputy Chief Minister instructed authorities to arrange permanent housing for the children at the earliest. He also asked that their education be taken care of without interruption. From the coming academic year, the children will be enrolled in government residential schools or colleges, with the Kakinada District Collector assigned to oversee their education and welfare.
This latest initiative adds to Pawan Kalyan’s ongoing efforts in Pithapuram, where he has been personally supporting several orphaned children. Officials said he has been extending assistance to dozens of children across the constituency by contributing a part of his salary every month. His intervention in individual cases, especially involving vulnerable children, has been drawing public appreciation and has sparked wider discussion on the need for sustained support systems for orphans and children in distress.
The move has once again highlighted how timely intervention by public representatives can change lives, particularly in cases where children are left without family care or financial security.
