Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan released a special booklet detailing the development works carried out across constituencies through the departments under his charge. As the coalition government approaches the completion of two years in power, the booklet highlights projects implemented through the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Rural Water Supply and Sanitation (RWS&S), Forest, Environment, and Science and Technology departments. The document presents constituency-wise information on funds allocated, works executed, and the progress achieved in rural development initiatives across the state.
Pawan Kalyan personally distributed copies of the booklet to ministers and MLAs in the Assembly on Friday. The report includes details of development works taken up under major rural programmes such as Palle Panduga 1.0, Palle Panduga 2.0, and SASCI under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. It lists the construction of cement roads, BT roads, gokulams, farm ponds, and water tanks in villages. The booklet also contains information about protected drinking water projects implemented through the Jal Jeevan Mission and the funds released to village panchayats under the 15th Finance Commission.
Significantly, the report covers development works in all constituencies regardless of political affiliation. Apart from coalition MLAs, it also includes details of allocations made in the 11 constituencies represented by YSRCP MLAs. The initiative reflects the coalition government’s stated approach of prioritizing development across the state without political bias under the leadership of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. According to the report, the focus of these departments has been on rural infrastructure, increasing green cover, and strengthening environmental protection while improving basic amenities in villages.
The first copy of the booklet was presented to Assembly Speaker Chintakayala Ayyannapatrudu at his chamber in the Assembly premises. During the meeting, Pawan Kalyan explained the development works undertaken in the Narsipatnam constituency represented by the Speaker. According to the report, development works worth ₹312 crore were taken up in the constituency. Under Palle Panduga 1.0, works worth ₹36.21 crore were executed, while Palle Panduga 2.0 accounted for ₹58.85 crore. These included the construction of CC roads, BT roads, gokulams, and farm ponds. In addition, works worth ₹43.83 crore were taken up under the Jal Jeevan Mission, and ₹173.53 crore was released to local panchayats through 15th Finance Commission funds.
The second copy of the booklet was handed over to Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar. According to the report, development works worth ₹168 crore were carried out in the Tenali constituency. Under Palle Panduga 1.0 alone, 37 CC roads, 44 gokulams, and four farm ponds were constructed at a cost of ₹3.80 crore. Copies were also distributed to Jana Sena MLAs in the Assembly.
The booklet also highlights major development works undertaken in the Kuppam constituency represented by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. According to the report, projects worth ₹487 crore were implemented through the departments overseen by Pawan Kalyan. Under Palle Panduga 1.0, works worth ₹46.71 crore were executed, while Palle Panduga 2.0 accounted for ₹138 crore. Another ₹7.12 crore was spent on Jal Jeevan Mission projects in the constituency. Additionally, ₹185.89 crore from the 15th Finance Commission funds was transferred to panchayats in the region, while ₹110 crore was allocated for underground drainage construction.
Officials said that special priority has been given to infrastructure development in tribal areas. Soon after assuming office, Pawan Kalyan initiated gram sabhas across the state in 13,326 panchayats to identify development needs and pass resolutions for priority works. Through Palle Panduga 1.0, works worth ₹4,500 crore were launched, including the construction of 4,000 kilometers of internal village roads, 22,514 mini gokulams, 1,02,000 farm ponds, and 15,000 water tanks. The programme also included plantation drives covering 65,000 acres of fruit orchards.
Under Palle Panduga 2.0, projects worth ₹5,715 crore are being implemented. These include the construction of 8,000 kilometers of roads, 15,000 mini gokulams, 58 kilometers of magic drains, farm ponds, and water tanks in villages. The government also completed fruit plantation drives covering one lakh acres. Through SASCI funds worth ₹2,123 crore, road works spanning 4,122 kilometers are currently underway across rural areas.
Another major initiative highlighted in the booklet is the Adavi Thalli Bata programme, through which roads are being constructed in tribal areas with an allocation of ₹1,005 crore. As part of this programme, 1,021 kilometers of roads are being built, providing road connectivity for the first time to 625 tribal habitations. The Forest Department is also implementing large-scale environmental initiatives such as the Great Green Wall project and a 50 percent green cover mission. Programmes aimed at reducing human-wildlife conflict, including the Hanuman project, are also being implemented as part of the state’s environmental protection strategy.
The booklet release marks a comprehensive effort by the Deputy Chief Minister to present a constituency-wise overview of development works carried out through his departments, while highlighting the coalition government’s focus on rural development, infrastructure expansion, and environmental conservation across Andhra Pradesh.
