Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan has paid homage to ex-MP of Nandyala S P Y Reddy, who passed away recently, after the prolonged illness.
S P Y Reddy, who was known for his powerful political background, was offered Nandyal ticket from Janasena. His entry into the new party, was expected to fetch big and he was considered as one among very few hopeful winning candidates from Janasena. But much to the shock, his demise has put the party into deep dilemma.
Pawan Kalyan went to Kurnool, amidst of the huge number of Janasainiks. After offering homage, he spoke to the family members of the late MP, and offered his condolences. He said that he was on his holiday trip, when the incident took place, and so couldn’t reach out on time.
S P Y Reddy won as an MP from Nandyal on YSRCP ticket in 2014 and later shifted to TDP, due to the alleged differences with the party Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy. While he was expected to contest from TDP in 2019 again, TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu did not offer him any ticket till the last minute. This irritated the dynamic MP and shifted to Janasena.
Naidu then tried to woo Reddy with an MLC ticket, but the latter remained to stay in Janasena itself finally passed away just after few days of assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh.
