A major forest land scam has come to light in Andhra Pradesh after an exclusive aerial survey revealed 76.74 acres of illegal encroachment inside Mangalam Peta forest lands in the Eastern Ghats. The encroached area is reportedly linked to former Forest Minister and senior leader Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy.
According to an official note released by the Office of the Deputy Chief Minister, Hon’ble Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan personally visited the site, inspected the violations, and reviewed the situation with officials. He later briefed Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and other Cabinet Ministers about the large-scale encroachment and ordered a comprehensive probe.
Pawan Kalyan issued firm directions to the Forest Department to act immediately and transparently. He instructed officials to publish the names of all forest land encroachers on the department’s official website and reveal the exact extent of encroachments and the legal status of each case.
The Deputy CM further directed that strict legal action must be taken against anyone involved in forest land grabbing — without political or personal exceptions. He also ordered an investigation into discrepancies in land records, including inflated Webland entries and false claims of ancestral ownership within protected zones.
Additionally, Pawan Kalyan called for the digitization of all land records to prevent data manipulation and ensure transparency. He emphasized that forest lands are national assets, and the government will not tolerate any illegal occupation or misuse of protected forest and wildlife areas.
The state government has vowed to pursue the investigation based on vigilance reports and expert legal advice, ensuring that every violator, regardless of influence, will face consequences under the law.
This action marks a strong statement from the Andhra Pradesh government under the leadership of CM Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, reinforcing their commitment to protecting natural resources and upholding transparency in governance.
