Powerstar Pawan Kalyan established Jana Sena to serve the people the best way he possibly can. Irrespective of victory and failure, Jana Sena has always been there to support the people when the ruling parties do not serve the people of the state, justice.
Pawan Kalyan has repeatedly criticised or appreciated the efforts taken by several parties in helping the people of the state. He has also never backed away when it came to voicing his honest opinions, when the need for it arose.
Today, on the occasion of Telugu Language Day, celebrated every year on August 29th, on the birthday of famous Telugu poet Gidugu Venkata Ramamurthy, Pawan has once again reiterated the importance of mother tongue in a person’s life. He said that a person could really express his/her feelings, emotions and thoughts properly only in their mother tongue because it is what is imbibed in them since birth.
Elaborating on the same, Pawan said that it is important for the Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, to recognise the importance of Telugu language, and make sure that primary education is done in the mother tongue. Jagan has been trying to make English as the medium of instruction for even primary school children. According to the new National Education Policy, it is mandatory to teach in the mother tongue till class 5. Even UNESCO states that primary education is to be done in the mother tongue itself.
There have been many objections to Jagan’s idea of making English as the medium of instruction for everyone, and it is now to be seen if the CM will stick to what the Union government has stated in the NEP, or if he will continue to want to make English as the medium of instruction.
