Ex CM and incumbent Pulivendula MLA YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has habituated the term “Malli nene CM”. He is using this phrase to imply that he will become the CM again and strategically using it to warn the police officials of severe consequences once that happens.
In one such attempt, Jagan recently warned AP police officers that he will not spare them if they target YCP leaders. “Even if you are hiding away beyond the seven seas, I will bring you back after I become CM.” Jagan said. His exact words were “Saptha Samudralu daatina kuda malli teeskostha”.
This statement from Jagan has evidently agitated deputy CM Pawan Kalyan and he has given a strong retort to the YCP chief a short while back.
Pawan mentioned that Jagan is out of bounds for giving such a warning to on-duty police officers. “Be it YCP leaders, or anyone else for that matter, no one should lay a finger on police officers. If anyone crosses the line and obstructs the police department, then they will face the consequences.” the deputy CM said.
While Jagan tried to belittle the police department by warning them of consequences, deputy CM Pawan tried to instill confidence in the police force. The JSP chief noted that the police department is crucial for the restoration of law and order in the state after the 5-year misrule of Jagan and certainly has a point to make.
