The deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan has been very adamant about getting back the illegally occupied government and forestry lands from the men associated with the previous YCP government. In fact, he even worked on the lands occupied by Jagan’s Saraswati Power company, showing he fears none when it comes to eradicating illegal occupations.
Now, the deputy CM appears to be focused on bringing back the lands that were allegedly occupied by Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy who is one of the most trusted associates of Jagan Mohan Reddy and played a key role in the AP government in YCP tenure.
According to the Eenadu report, in the CK Dinne area of YSR district, there are 11000 acres of forest land that belongs to the government. Right beside this, there’s a 184-acre piece of land that belongs to Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy.
However, the complaint here is that Sajjala had erected a huge fence surrounding the premises by occupying 42 acres of forestry land. Many people complained to the chief minister Chandrababu and deputy CM Pawan Kalyan about the same.
According to Eenadu, deputy CM Pawan had already ordered the authorities to prepare a detailed report on this matter and track the nature of the illegal occupation, if it happened in the first place.
Allegedly, the revenue officials are stating that 52 acres of this occupation belongs to the forest department. But the forestry authorities are allegedly saying they don’t have necessary mapping and documents to prove the claim. This has led to a local talk that certain lower-cadre workers in the department are affiliated to YCP still.
However, Pawan is said to be furious with this series of events and has ordered an enquiry. He could be visiting the occupied lands on or before 20 January, it appears. If that happens, this will be second such visit from Pawan after the Saraswati lands visit. The pattern is very clear now – Pawan is turning out to be the most dynamic and active deputy chief minster in Andhra Pradesh’s electoral history.
