Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan celebrated the National Handloom day today. He said that every handloom maker in the country contributed a great deal to the non-violence movement that got India its Independence in 1947. He said that it’s sad to see that the art is not being encouraged so much in the modern day.
Pawan said that every family in the country should make sure that they wear handlooms at least one day a week, to make sure that the art is sustained, and that the people who are dependent on the art are financially stable, as they are drowning in the current situation, due to the lack of support given towards handlooms by people.
Pawan also said that it gives him immense pride that he gets to celebrate National Handloom day today, and said that he would be a lifetime ambassador for handlooms to make sure that there’s as much awareness regarding handlooms, as there can be, and that he will forever support handlooms.
