Following the attack on the Telugu Desam Party’s Gannavaram office yesterday, the police had arrested Pattabhi, Donthu Chinna and 11 others. No one knew the whereabouts of Pattabhi following the arrest of Pattabhi.
Pattabhi, along with Donthu Chinna and the 11 others were only brought back into the public after Pattabhi’s wife filed a complaint saying that he was missing and that she would go on an indefinite hunger strike if the police didn’t give her the details about her husband.
After coming back into the public, Pattabhi has said that he was tortured by the police, and beaten up badly. His swollen hand was an indication of this allegation. TNTUC AP chief, Gottimukkala Raghu Ramakrishna Raju also said that Pattabhi was beaten up. It is to be seen how true this is.
