Pareshan has Thiruveer of Masooda fame in the lead role and it is billed to be a comedy caper set in Telangana atmospheric. Rana is presenting the film. Here’s our review of it.
Story:
Issac(Thiruveer) gets his girlfriend pregnant and is then cheated by his friends as he is on the mission of pooling in the money for the abortion. Will he be able to accumulate the resources for his girlfriend’s abortion before things go out of hand?
How did the actors perform?
Thiruveer looks fine in the role of a troubled young man. He is supported by other newcomers, who, all play drunkards. The film is mostly powered by young talent pool and they do a fine job at it.
What about the technical department?
The director Rupak Ronaldson isn’t bothered about the core plot as he tries to present his screenplay in a whacky manner. There was potential to make a silly yet entertaining comedy caper but that goes in vain due to lethargic writing and scrappy narration.
The idea of presenting the youth as drunkards who don’t give a damn about their lives has become a boring topic. In this case, Pareshan explores the same trope and it bores the viewers to the core.
The background score is alright and so as the visuals. The making values are of adequate quality for this low budget comedy caper.
What’s Hot?
- A couple of comedy scenes in the first half
What’s Not?
- Poor screenplay
- Entire second half
- Irritating scenes in the middle
Verdict: Pareshan ends up putting the audience in Pareshan towards the end as it goes around a headles chicken. The silly comedy approach fails miserably and the film fails in almost each and every aspect. It is a dud.
