TRS MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy spoke to the media at Telangana Bhavan today, on the aspect of Etala Rajendar resigning from the TRS party.
Palla said that many who left TRS in the past have made several comments on the party, and it is the very same thing that Etala is doing right now. Palla reminded that it was under KCR’s leadership that the state of Telangana was formed in the first place.
Palla said that CM KCR recognised everyone who strived towards a separate Telangana state, by giving them important posts in the cabinet. He said that KCR was the one who made Etala a member of the Legislative Assembly and that it was because of KCR that Etala got to hold important positions in the government.
Palla questioned why Etala didn’t resign from TRS way back in 2016 when he wasn’t allowed to enter Pragathi Bhavan. He asked what happened to Etala’s self-respect back then.
Palla said that Etala stayed back in TRS back then because he wanted to protect his assets. Palla pointed out that Etala would have been joining the BJP if he really cared about his self-respect and if he really cared about the weaker sections of society.
He said that the farmers have been waging a war against the BJP for the past 6 months, against the farm laws that the centre introduced, and Etala is now joining that party, which shows exactly how much he cares for anyone. Palla also noted that the consequences of criticising KCR would be severe from next time.
