Hyderabad: Students, research scholars, wannabe entrepreneurs and faculty of Osmania University (OU) will soon have a state-of-the-art facility that would pave way to ignite futuristic ideas and transform them into products or services.
Back in lockdown time, a website for the Osmania Technology-Business Incubator (TBI) www.osmania.ac.in/tbi was launched during a webinar. Incubator CEO Prof S Ramachandram compelled students, faculty members and alumni of the university to make the most of the incubator to conduct research-backed ideas for developing business enterprises.
The Osmania Technology Business Incubator (Osmania-TBI) is equipped with high-end co-working spaces stretching in 12,000 sq ft at the Central Facilities for Research and Development building on the OU campus.
The facility will include 250 open and closed work stations with plug and play features. It will have open cafeteria and also provided with equipped with audio and video visual rooms, separate cabins for CEOs and dignitaries.
Apart form co-working spaces, the university is also keen to scale up its top notch research facilities available in the CFRD building and other campus colleges to the incubatees. This facility is likely to be introduced to students, research scholars, faculty and alumni of the varsity by the end of this month.
Till date 21 applications have been received for re incubation programme. The ideas pitched in by candidates were in areas viz digi-tech, genomics, retail, artificial intelligence, machine learning and agriculture technology.
