Director Boyapati Srinu is someone who is known for his out-and-out commercial entertainers, which are high on action and reality-bending concepts. There’s no one else like him in the industry, and while his initial movies turned out to be massive hits, in recent years, that’s not been the case.
With the exception of his movies with Balakrishna, nothing else seems to be working out for the director, with the best example of this being the result of Skanda, which was released very recently, and Vinaya Vidheya Rama, which was released before Balakrishna’s Akhanda. Skanda turned out to be a huge disappointment for all those involved, and even for the audiences as well, and as such, Boyapati is currently said to be working on coming back strongly once again, with Balakrishna.
Boyapati has commitments with Geetha Arts and Mythri Movie Makers as well, but there’s no clarity over when those projects will materialize. Both Allu Arjun and Suriya, whom Boyapati has approached already, are busy with several projects. As such, the director is said to be currently busy working on the script for Balakrishna’s film, which is expected to begin shooting once Balayya is done with director Bobby’s film, which is currently going on.
