It is known that the MLC by-election for the joint Nizamabad district local bodies held two days ago. All but one of the voters hasn’t voted in that segment. It is known that the local leader who had that vote could not vote due to death. The daughter of CM KCR, who is in the battle as a TRS candidate with up to 90 percent of the votes polled, is said to have gained the immense majority to take up the lead.
Of course, Kavitha’s victory seemed unanimous right from the beginning and the BJP, Congress leaders may barely get deposits if any wonder happens. That has been the case of the polls in Telangana so far. In the past, Kavitha was dislodged in an unimaginable fashion during the Parliamentary elections but however recovered from that shock and won as the MLC.
Now the biggest question in TRS circles is, what would be the future of Kavitha? Many people opine that she may not get Ministry out of anywhere like it used to be in state politics. According to the rules, only eighteen people should have a place in the cabinet along with the CM in the Telangana Assembly. With everyone already there, Kavitha has no chance unless someone sacrifices their position.
Even though one leader sacrifices his/her position, her tenure will be 14 months. There are rumors that Kavitha may be given the post of key corporation chairman without being given a ministerial post at present. In the worst-case scenario, she could be appointed as a Whip on the council and there is a campaign going on that she is the right fit for it. Anyway, speculations aside, what kind of positional responsibilities will the CM KCR hand over to the Kavitha elected for a limited time? That has become the question. Only time will tell the answer.
