As per the reports, terrorists attacked and killed Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) trooper and a civilian at a road opening party in North Sopore area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Three other CRPF Jawans have also been succumbed to injuries in the attack. The terrorists had fired during CRPF’s road opening party on the by-pass highway in Model Town of Sopore.
The police officials stated that in an attempt to nab the assailants, the area was cordoned off immediately and the injured were shifted to the hospital. Further adding, a CRPF spoke person at Srinagar said, troops of G/179 CRPF along with JK police were attacked while placing NAKA at early hours, which was retaliated promptly. However, one civilian and CRPF personnel were reportedly dead.
Speaking upon the untowardly incident, DGP of Jammu & Kashmir Police Dilbag Singh said “terrorists attacked a naka party at Model town in Sopore and the search operation has already began”.
Recently a similar incident happened, where a CRPF jawan and an 8 year old minor boy were brutally killed when militants fired at a security forces team in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.
