Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has made it a habit to influence liquor sales in the state with his mark of resolutions in regular intervals. Most recently he gave a shocker to the liquor lovers by imposing strict restrictions and passing out a G.O against the purchase of liquor from the other states.
Now, Jagan, however, reduced the liquor prices in AP yet again. The Andhra Pradesh Excise Department released a Government Order(GO) revising the liquor prices. The prices of medium and premium brands were revised by around 25 percent. This is very good news for the liquor lovers.
This order comes into effect from today (october 30th). One should remember that liquor will be sold at the revised prices only in the liquor shops being run by the government. Bars, restaurants are independent of their sales.
It seems Jagan made this move cleverly after the state government issued GO which prohibits importing liquor from the other states without proper licenses. Of course, there is still some uproar present in people as the prices were previously increased by 175% at once but now only a mere 25% of the prices were reduced.
Under the revised liquor prices, the price will see a cut by Rs.50 to Rs.1350 on premium brands.
