RRR is a global sensation now and the names of Rajamouli, Ram Charan, and Jr NTR are resonating in the international circuit now. The film is also in contention for the Oscars in best song category- Naatu Naatu.
Usually, Hollywood Critics Association Awards are regarded as an indicative of awards trends in the Oscars. And incidentally, RRR ended up winning five awards at the HCA. Ram Charan was the special guest for the event and he was flooded with praises by many noted Hollywood celebrities.
Top media outlets took interviews of Charan, and he stood as the Center of attraction at the same. However, Jr NTR missed out on the event.
The void is evident
NTR’s absence was clearly seen from his fans and RRR followers in general. Up until then, all of RRR’s events were attended by NTR, Charan and Rajamouli together. But for the HCA event, only Charan and Rajamouli were in attendance. And the reason behind the same is NTR got caught up with a family emergency following the passing of Nandamuri Tarakaratna. Initially, NTR was schedules to leave to USA two days after Tarakaratna’s passing but had to postpone the plan. He had to stay back with the family in the hour of crisis.
NTR missed a golden opportunity
As a result, NTR missed out on a golden opportunity to stand on the global stage along with Ram Charan. While Naatu Naatu gripped international media, it would’ve been delightful to see the duo of Ram Charan and NTR together on stage but that wasn’t to be.
NTR could’ve shared the fame with Charan had he been there. But the big event – Oscars is set to be held on the 12th of March and NTR is attending the same. Tarak had to miss out on HCA awards for his family and his act of selflessness is to be appreciated.
NTR values Nandamuri family
NTR entered the fim industry as Nandamuri Harikrishna’s son but he wasn’t supported well by the Nandamuri family. Despite attaining superstardom at a young age with Aadi and Simhadri, the Nandamuri family kept him at bay. Only a section of Nandamuri fans owned him as their own.
But NTR worked hard all on his own and succeeded at it. Even now, for whatever reason, NTR is only partially close to the Nandamuri family.
NTR was used for 2009 elections by Nandamuri family and TDP but he was again dissociated later. Regardless, NTR stood by his family at all times and it can be seen now in the case of Tarakaratna’s demise and the subsequent decision to skip prestigious HCA event for his family. This is the respect he has towards the Nandamuri family.
