A massive event was planned for Brahmastra in Hyderabad, which was set to take place in Ramoji Film City, with NTR set to attend the event as the Chief guest. However, because of security reasons, the event got canceled, and a smaller press meet was arranged later on in the day, for which NTR was still present as the chief guest.
Director SS Rajamouli opened the event with his speech, saying that he feels sad that the audience couldn’t get to see what all they had planned for the event at RFC, where everyone could actually have gotten a chance to see NTR and Ranbir come together on the stage and interact in a very interesting way. Talking about the film, Rajamouli said that director Ayan narrated the story to him five years ago, and as soon as he heard the story, he was reminded of his childhood. He said that the main reason for him endorsing and presenting this film in the South is because the film represents Indian culture perfectly.
Talking about Ranbir Kapoor, NTR said that after Amitabh Bachchan, it’s only ever been Ranbir Kapoor who really stood out for him, and absolutely loves Ranbir as an actor. He said that Alia is one of the finest actresses in the country right now, and that he shares one of the deepest bonds with her.
NTR then spoke about Nagarjuna, who will be seen in a key role in Brahmastra, and said that there’s nothing that he could ever tell about Nag that would be enough, and said that Nagarjuna has always been an inspiration for him from his childhood. He wrapped up his speech by saying that he hoped that more and more quality films would be made in the world and in the country and that everyone will begin celebrating films here on, more than anything else.
