Sharwanand’s Sreekaram is gearing up for release on the 11th of this month as Maha Shivaratri Special. The film has been censored with 132 minutes of runtime with a U certificate. Directed by Kishore B, Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta bankrolled it under the 14 Reels Plus banner.
Not many know the film is based on the director’s earlier short film ‘Sreekaram’. After the short film received critical acclaim, Kishore B developed it into a full-length story.
Here is interesting news that he narrated the story to Hero Nani and got a nod from him. When the film was set for the shooting, some key scenes related to the farmers in Kishore’s film have appeared in a Tollywood’s top star hero film, which was also made on the backdrop of the farmers. With that, Nani opted out of the movie.
However, the director worked on the script and penned even stronger scenes with a deep message. After penning out his best, the director approached Sharwanand and impressed him. Now, the film is hitting the marquee on March 11th. It remains to be seen to what extent Sharwa’s faith in the story will give him success.
