If the latest reports are to be believed, Disney+ Hotstar has acquired the post theatrical digital streaming rights of Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger.
Previously, it was said that Amazon Prime Video is in pole position to bag the digital streaming rights of Liger. But the deal is said to have fallen through.
Disney+ Hotstar reportedly jumped in later and got things done by shelling out a whopping amount of money for the post theatrical digital streaming rights of the Vijay Deverakonda starrer.
This could be one of the biggest OTT deals for any Telugu film till now and it shows the hype surrounding the action drama which is directed by Puri Jagannadh.
Liger is up for theatrical release on the 25th of August. The film has Bollywood babe, Ananya Panday in the female lead role.
