Owing to the criticism from Amaravati farmers on the state government’s decision of picking three capitals for Andhra Pradesh, YSRCP minister Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy has come up with some sensational statements.
The Panchayat Raj and Rural development minister said that the government will return the lands of Amaravati farmers as CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has promised to do so if YSRCP forms the government.
Stressing on the decentralization, he said that picking number of Capitals will develop several places in the state. “If not 3, the government will also pick 30 Capitals as there is nothing wrong in doing so,” he added.

The YSRCP minister further lashed out at TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu alleging that it was he who motivated farmers to protest against the state government. He further stated that the farmers never surrendered the lands voluntarily but are grabbed by the then TDP government.
Amaravati farmers on the other side said that they are pissed off with Peddireddi’s comments and pledged to intensify the ongoing protest. It should be seen whether the state government comes down to convince the farmers.
