A non-bailable warrant has been issued against Andhra Pradesh’s Women and Child Welfare Minister Ushasri Charan on Wednesday.
A case was registered against the YSRCP Minister on February 27, 2017, at Brahmasamudram Police Station in Anantapur district for violation of the rules of MLC elections.
The then Tahsildar DV Subrahmanyam lodged the complaint with the police under Section 188 for organizing a public rally against the rules. Along with Ushasri Charan, six other leaders were also booked by the cops.
The hearing was held in the Kalyanadurg court on Wednesday. Junior Civil Judge Suban issued a non-bailable warrant against her and seven others in the case due to their absence in court.
