Most of the leaders from south like KCR, Chandrababu Naidu and Stalin have boycotted the meeting on ‘One Nation One Election’ organized by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has actively participated in the meeting. Modi, who recognized YSRCP leader Vijaysai Reddy, wished him at the venue. This has now acquired significance among the political circles. While Vijaysai is celebrating it, the TDP circles are trolling Reddy that Modi is only able to offer special greetings, but not special status.

However, Jagan is the only leader from the South, who is now in the good books of Modi. While a few opine that it would be the perfect time for AP CM to stress on the special status, the Centre is strictly against granting it to AP.
Even when Jagan mentioned about the special status issue in the recent meeting, there was no positive response from either Modi or Amit Shah.

However, if not now, Jagan’s cordial relations with Modi are expected to fetch big to AP, in the future. On the flip side, it may also help the BJP to prove its existence in the state, if the party like YSRCP that won 151 seats maintains good relations with it.
