Among the three nominations- Mahesh Vitta, Himaja and Rahul Sipligunj, of this week in Bigg Boss 3 Telugu, Mahesh was anticipated to leave the house this week, as he is getting lesser votes than the other two contestants.
But surprisingly, Mahesh turned as the Captain of the house, and many are anticipating that he may not leave the house this week. But that is not the case. There is no relation to the elimination and the Captaincy.
If the participant is already in the nomination and he gets less votes, he will have to face the eviction, even though he becomes the Captain of the house. On that basis, Mahesh Vitta will be facing the elimination this week if he gets lesser votes, and the house, thus remains with no Captain for the rest of the week.

Mahesh and Baba Bhaskar were chosen as the best performers in the College task. The housemates were asked to choose one among them as the new Captain. As Baba Bhaskar had already become the Captain, and Mahesh is yet to occupy it, the housemates chose him over Baba.
