Telangana Chief Minister KCR’s daughter Kavitha’s debacle in Nizamabad shook the TRS circles. BJP Candidate Dharmapuri Arvind beat Kavitha by over 66000 votes in the Lok Sabha elections of Telangana.
As it is clearly evident that the TRS MP’s debacle was due to her failure in bringing a minimum support price for turmeric crop, now the Nizamabad farmers, after the victory of the BJP candidate, met him and made him sign the bond paper that he would do justice to the turmeric farmers.
It is mentioned in the bond paper that as the MP of Nizamabad, he will take care of the turmeric farmers and their needs while also addressing their problems. ‘In such a case where I do not fulfil my responsibilities, I shall resign as the MP of Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency,’ the paper added.
Several farmers in the district went against Kavitha, and contested in the Lok Sabha elections of Telangana. The issue had gone viral across the country and the Election Commission had to use a record number of EVMs to conduct election in Nizamabad.
As the BJP candidate won in constituency like Nizamabad, it resulted in a tight jolt to TRS, who were confident of bagging all the Lok Sabha seats from the state.
